What: The Jewish Music Commission of Los Angeles (JMCLA) in association
with Valley Beth Shalom proudly presents a one-man performance of the
legendary Broadway musical, „THE ROTHSCHILDS‰ starring BERNIE DEAN. The
show follows the fortunes of the international banking family, the
Rothschilds, from their humble German beginnings to the powerful influence
they exerted in the Congress of Vienna. It also portrays the struggle of
European Jews living under tremendous persecution during the 1700‚s.
Who: BERNIE DEAN is best known for his decade of performances as a member
of the Zim Brothers singing team. He comes from a family of rabbis,
cantors, and Jewish scholars. As a child soloist, he sang with many of the
great cantors of the day. He has appeared in concert all over the United
States, Canada, Israel, Australia, Europe, and South America.
