Jewish Children's Community Choir Is Born

Dr. Noreen Green, artistic director, sends this notice:

"Since I have been at Valley Beth Shalom, (18 years!) Rabbi Schulweis has often spoken to me about his desire to see and hear a community –wide Jewish Children’s chorus.  Well this year – with the help of the Schulweis Institute we are going to make Rabbi Schulweis’ dream a reality.  

On Oct 2nd we will start the new Jewish Community Children’s Choir – A program of the Schulweis Institute. With rehearsals on Sundays at 2 pm – along side the HaZamir Teen Chorus- Convenient for both the Valley and City at the top of Mulholland on the Milken Community High School – Middle School Campus.
Dr. Michelle Green Willner (no relation!) will be the Music Director and I will oversee all the activities. Michelle is a wonderful conductor, composer and arranger, and has been working in the Jewish Music choral field both in Toronto and here for many years!
